[Gnumed-devel] Medications difficulty

For those who do not have readymade database for tradenames, dealing with medications is extremely difficult especially in initial few days to month as they have to keep adding trade names and dosage every time dealing with the patients in OPD. This not only disturbs thinking process but also increase OPD time. This can be eased by allowing addition of substance through child gui in trade name gui or allowing a free text with warnings pop up if you think it is necessary.

One might, at least, import the English INN data pack. That
won't give trade names but it will provide lots of
substances.

When that's something that happens very often it is truly
prudent to make this a one-time task and assign a member of
staff a few hours adding drugs.

The ideal solution would be to create a data pack.

It already (now) does.

Do you think it should be accessible from the list of
branded drugs as well ?

That'll require "pre-sets" support in the generic Edit Area
code which I am going to add for 1.3.
