  gnome-perl | Glib | Ver: unspecified
Summary: default SET_PROPERTY do set magic
           Product: gnome-perl
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Glib
        AssignedTo: gtk2-perl-bugs@...
        ReportedBy: user42@...
         QAContact: gtk2-perl-bugs@...
     GNOME version: Unspecified
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

In the current cvs, the default SET_PROPERTY method for a Glib::Object subclass
doesn't call a tie on the hash entry it stores to.  Failing test case and
possible fix below.

I struck this when experimenting with a tie to get a 'notify' signal emitted if
an object field value becomes undef due to weakening.  A SET_PROPERTY written
in perl storing to the hash entry reaches the tie, but the C code doesn't.
