[OT] Safari multipart form upload fail

Dear list,

This has been on the menu before but I can't seem to find a proper  
solution:
Multipart form uploads sometimes fail in Safari.

When trying 100 times, every 7 to 9 times the browser 'hangs' during  
upload.
When hitting the send button again as this happens, the upload goes  
through?!

This happens in Safari 3 and 4.
This does not happen in Firefox 3.

The only difference I could find between the browsers is that firefox  
puts form data at the end of its request, whereas Safari puts it  
somewhere in the middle of its request...

Btw. when Safari seems to hang, there are no files in /var/tmp so this  
has to be a browser issue?

Any insight?

do you use some add-ons like safaristand ? (this one creates problems)

I'm using freshly installed virgin copies of Safari 3 & 4.

Also the issue seems to occur only when sending multiple files, not  
when sending 1 file.
