  do you know if it's possible booting O.S. from usb on mac ?

can you suggest me some software ?

PowerPC based Mac can't boot form usb disc, you need a firewire disc  
(i remember that G5 can too, but I'm not sure). Mac-intel can boot  
from usb.

Appearantly there is a method of booting ppc macs from an usb key/disk.
You might want to try the procedure described here:
