Hi Rui,
I have been using the debian init script /etc/init.d/jackd to start up jackd at boot time on my DAW PC (the process is started as myself, not as root of course).
When I fire up qjackctl, it connects to the running server alright but the system tray icon does not show the right server state (should be green). It shows a non running state (washed red). The rest is working fine, the connection window shows ports of existing clients and their connections, the system tray menu allows me to stop the server (so it knows it is running).
I use the following:
$ qjackctl --version
Qt: 4.5.0
QjackCtl: 0.3.4
it is the packaged version from debian.
My windows manager is a combination of openbox (3.4.7.2) and KDE 3.5.9.
Any known issue here ? it is cosmetic but I grew used to this system tray icon displaying the right server state.
If I start jackd from qjackctl, all is OK.
J.
