[REQ] Add rxvt-unicode terminfo

G'day,

Every major Linux distribution seems to have a bug report against
ncurses or rxvt-unicode, with users asking for rxvt-unicode terminfo in
the base system [*]. Since rxvt-unicode is quite widespread, could
ncurses include the terminfo? If it would help, I could try crafting
a patch, basing it against the patch in Debian:
http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/debianonly/view/ncurses/5.7+20090803-2

Thank you.

[*] To support the claim above, here are some links to the bugs:

Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=270287
(ncurses-base: rxvt-unicode has new TERM value)

Fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=160031
        (RFE: add rxvt-unicode to /etc/termcap)

OpenSUSE: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=329137
          (rxvt-unicode should require terminfo)

Gentoo: http://bugs.gentoo.org/192083
        (sys-libs/ncurses should include rxvt-unicode terminfo <..>)

Archlinux: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/6784
           (ncurses needs rxvt-unicode terminfo)

I'm afraid not - the issue is that rxvt-unicode's developer is the only
individual from whom I'll accept that patch, and that he must do so
politely and accurately.

(by the way, the terminfo in the corresponding sources is inaccurate).

Are you referring to the sources of rxvt-unicode, i.e. exactly this file
(last updated 04 Nov 2008):
  http://cvs.schmorp.de/rxvt-unicode/doc/etc/rxvt-unicode.terminfo
?

Could you please be more specific as to how the sources are inaccurate?

Thanks.

yes

not really (that would be a bug report, and its developer is unable to
correspond politely).
