Re: [VOTE] Release Archiva 1.2The error in SLF4JLog seems familiar, I think I've encountered that before
because of a lower or higher version of slf4j (I can't remember if that was exactly the cause). Is this a blocker for 1.2? Or can we just follow it up immediately with a 1.2.1 release with a fix for this? -Deng On Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 3:52 PM, nicolas de loof <nicolas.deloof@...>wrote: > Just made a quick test and cannot deploy the war on tomcat: > The only logs I get are : > > 23 mars 2009 08:46:25 org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start > GRAVE: Erreur de démarrage du contexte [/archiva] suite aux erreurs > précédentes > > and in stdout.log : > > WARN: The method class > org.apache.commons.logging.impl.SLF4JLogFactory#release() was invoked. > WARN: Please see http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#release for an > explanation. > log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger > (org.codehaus.plexus.spring.PlexusApplicationContextDelegate). > log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. > > Running on Tomcat 5.5 / Windows server 2003 > > > On Sun, Mar 22, 2009 at 2:05 PM, Fabrice Bellingard <bellingard@... > >wrote: > > > +1 > > > > Thx Deng! > > > > - Fabrice > > bellingard@... > > > > > > On Sun, Mar 22, 2009 at 6:59 AM, Maria Odea Ching <oching@...> > > wrote: > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > The Archiva 1.2 release has been staged. Re: [VOTE] Release Archiva 1.2I just can't start the war and have no feedback on what's wrong, so we will
have many users complain about a non-working release. Maybe some simple setup is required to fix slf4j but this is IMHO required to be well documented. Anyway, how some logging API can breack the application startup ?? Re: [VOTE] Release Archiva 1.2I'm not convinced the slf4j warning is at fault, there is an ERROR
listenerStart failure above that in my attempts to replicate that (Tomcat's famous "something went wrong, let's see if you can guess the exception" failure). - Brett On 23/03/2009, at 9:46 PM, nicolas de loof wrote: > I just can't start the war and have no feedback on what's wrong, so > we will > have many users complain about a non-working release. > Maybe some simple setup is required to fix slf4j but this is IMHO > required > to be well documented. > > Anyway, how some logging API can breack the application startup ?? > > On Mon, Mar 23, 2009 at 11:28 AM, Maria Odea Ching > <oching@...>wrote: > >> The error in SLF4JLog seems familiar, I think I've encountered that >> before >> because of a lower or higher version of slf4j (I can't remember if >> that was >> exactly the cause). >> Is this a blocker for 1.2?
