[WebSVN issue] [Issue 253] New - Blank page on "SVN Blame" for a Oracle PLSQL sourcehttp://websvn.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=253
Issue #|253 Summary|Blank page on "SVN Blame" for a Oracle PLSQL source Component|websvn Version|2.2.1 Platform|All OS/Version|Linux URL| Status|NEW Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|Subversion Assigned to|issues@websvn Reported by|themadduck ------- Additional comments from themadduck@... Wed Sep 23 13:02:05 -0700 2009 ------- The problem is that an oracle PLSQL source file is not shown when i choose to see the "blame" link. Ive tried to look around the logs, server and php, and no message's are shown, but after the page stops loading i only see a white page (and not HTML source). The blame link works OK for other type's of files, and seems to only malfunction when i use it over files that have been "svn copied" from the trunk to a branch; i can see the "blame source file" in the trunk, but not in the branch. Currently we are using subversion 1.5.1, PHP 4.3.9 and Apache 2.0.52 ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2399048 |

------- Additional comments from quinntaylor@... Tue Nov 3 09:51:06 -0800 2009 ------- I see the version is marked as 2.2.1 — have you tried the trunk version of WebSVN, and does this still occur? We're almost ready to tag 2.3.0, and I suspect this may have been fixed, since it has been a focus area for the upcoming release. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2414177 |

User themadduck changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|FIXED | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from themadduck@... Mon Nov 16 09:30:45 -0800 2009 ------- I downloaded today's trunk and the issue is still there for me. The only thing i did to the trunk is add the repositories to the config.php file (after renaming distcofig.php to config.php) and enable Multiviews. I try to open a large PLSQL file and it shows without content, and the blame link still shows a blank page. I noticed that the page take's a while to load and then show's nothing; Could it be a memory/cpu problem? Is there any specific log that i could check to see is something is wrong? Log's seem to be enabled for PHP in "php.ini" but i still don't see anything relevant in them. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418611 |

------- Additional comments from dirkthomas@... Mon Nov 16 09:52:35 -0800 2009 ------- I have tried to reproduce your issue - but without success. I added your attachment (id=125) to a repository and copied it from one to another location. But viewing and blaming both files is working without a problem. Could you please provide more detailed information about your repository. Which operations (add, copy, etc.) have been done - at best describe a short sequence with which others can reproduce your issue. In your last comment you talked about a large file. Your previous attachment was quite small. Does the problem still exists with the previous file? For large data it is possible than the allowed memory usage of your PHP configuration might be the limiting factor. All relevant information will either be shown in the browser or be logged to the error log of your webserver. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418616 |

------- Additional comments from fuhrysteve@... Mon Nov 16 09:56:48 -0800 2009 ------- what's your memory limit? ------- Additional comments from themadduck@... Mon Nov 16 11:34:41 -0800 2009 ------- Currently the server is configured with 20M maximum limit, and i am not seeing any error messages in the server's log relating to not having enough memory to run a script. Ill try to give more information in the next comment. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418643 |

------- Additional comments from themadduck@... Mon Nov 16 11:44:27 -0800 2009 ------- I added the source file (attach id 128) with which i have the problem and here is the change log for that file as reported by svn log http://<intranet_server>/repos/plsql/tributario/branches/ramas/OT-000041/admora/package/package_ca_trb_acc_spec.sql: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4 | minime | 2009-08-04 16:07:31 -0400 (mar 04 de ago de 2009) | 1 line Creación de Rama para OT-000041 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r2 | ptellez | 2009-08-04 15:39:49 -0400 (mar 04 de ago de 2009) | 1 line Import inicial ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The file is under the directory "/admora/package/" and was created in the trunk on "2009-AUG-04" and later copied the same day to the branch "OT-000041". Since then it has not been modified in the branch, and this is the file wich i reported the blank page (which i still see under the trunk version). And there is another file, which has about 8k lines of code, that does not show up in the source link... ill talk more about that on my next comment. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418648 |

[WebSVN issue] [Issue 253] Blank page on "SVN Blame" for a Oracle PLSQL sourcehttp://websvn.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=253
------- Additional comments from themadduck@... Mon Nov 16 12:02:14 -0800 2009 ------- Hummm... it seems the problem was in part me. Earlier today i changed the maximum memory setting to 20M from 8M, but when i tested it i used the 2.2.1 link and not the trunk version. So i guess the problem is memory related, but i cant find any messages about that in the server logs; but i guess that this has more to do with my installation than with WebSVN. I can say that the problem originally reported is gone in the trunk, but it seems that an 8k lines of code file (450kb size... and it's not mine, but i have to deal with it.. jaja) requires more than 8M RAM in my installation. Again, thanks for your time, and sorry about the inconvenience ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418651 |

User dirkthomas changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution| |FIXED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from dirkthomas@... Mon Nov 16 12:24:17 -0800 2009 ------- The memory usage is really high compare to the file size. But you should see a message like "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 2357248 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes)" in the browser (if display_errors is enabled) or in the logs (if log_errors is enable). I will close the issue - if you find out more please comment and reopen the issue. ------------------------------------------------------ http://websvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=2390&dsMessageId=2418658 |
