Alexandre Vasseur resolved AW-482.
----------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Bug
There are multiple ways to hook in AspectWerkz into an application. The recommanded way is either class post compilation, or use of Java 5/ Java 6 javaagent jvm option.
The modification of java.lang.ClassLoader is deprecated and only here for historical purpose and compatibility with legacy Java 1.3/1.4
http://aspectwerkz.codehaus.org/weaving.htmlJust a note: most of AspectWerkz concepts are now implemented into the more broadly supported AspectJ project.

> We are evaluating the usage of AspectWerkz in our software project. I am the CTO at the company and have been told by my developers that Aspectwerkz ships with an offline utility that modifies the standard VM classloaders and repackes them to a degree. Could you verify this and if so are there any license considerations given that you are modify the VM code without any license to do so?
> Thank you,
