Although LDAP specification doesn't warrant ordering of values for multivalues attributes, most LDAP server implementations do preserve the ordering.

Because of that, some existing software that acts as a LDAP client assumes that values will be stored and retrieved in the given order.

Therefore, Apache Directory Studio's LDAP browser/editor should present the values of each attribute in the order they were returned by the LDAP server, and when editing an entry, it should let the user reorder attribute values.
