-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: LOG4NET-197 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4NET-197 Project: Log4net Issue Type: Task Components: Core Affects Versions: 1.2.10 Environment: IE7, Firefox, Vista Reporter: James Stewart Simply, the download from http://logging.apache.org/log4net/download.html is not working; the d/load fails at about 4.8M and so I can't use the s/w in any way. I also do not get a list of mirrors as suggested and can't find anywhere else to download from. Help! I tried it a number of times in a number of situations - no success. Then I thought "stuff it, I'll use MS Ent Lib logging", and downloaded that. Passing by the Apache tab in Firefox, I clicked the download link again - and it worked! Given the threat of being usurped by M$, it sat up an co-operated. For speed of checking, I opted to open in Winzip (not save) and now have the files. Wanting the zip as well, I clicked again. Same old story. 4.8M max. Still, at least it worked at that moment. It must be possible to make this more reliable than this - I see others have had the same problem. Can't seem to get the complete, uncorrupted file. I've tried the following places: http://archive.apache.org/dist/incubator/log4net/1.2.10/incubating-log4net-1.2.10.zip (linked off the main download page - http://logging.apache.org/log4net/download.html) http://cvs.apache.org/dist/incubator/log4net/1.2.10/incubating-log4net-1.2.10.zip (although this seems to just pull it from archive.apache.org anyway). None of the mirrors here: http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi seem to even have the file... (including http://www.apache.org/dist/ and http://www.eu.apache.org/dist/). There's a logging directory which contains an empty log4net directory & there's no mention of log4net under the incubator folder. > Download of 1.2.10 fails at 4.8M and zip does not open - therefore can't use s/w > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: LOG4NET-197 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4NET-197 > Project: Log4net > Issue Type: Task > Components: Core > Affects Versions: 1.2.10 > Environment: IE7, Firefox, Vista > Reporter: James Stewart > Original Estimate: 0.5h > Remaining Estimate: 0.5h > > Simply, the download from http://logging.apache.org/log4net/download.html is not working; the d/load fails at about 4.8M and so I can't use the s/w in any way.
