The code, as downloaded
https://svn.codehaus.org/plexus/plexus-components/tags/plexus-io-1.0-alpha-2, does not have any license information, as far as I can see. I'd like to package it for Debian, but it probably won't be accepted without a license.
I'm happy to supply a patch if that would help.
