Not able to interpret .vm(velocity file)
----------------------------------------

                 Key: VELOCITY-733
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VELOCITY-733
             Project: Velocity
          Issue Type: Bug
         Environment: WebLogic 10.3.0
            Reporter: Prateek Kapoor

I'm trying to evaluate Quartz application to run on Weblogic Server. When I deploy the Quartz web application through Weblogic workshop it works fine. The problem comes when I package it into a .ear file and deploy it using Weblogic console. The jsp pages gets loaded but the .vm files doesn't. There seems to be some problem with the loading mechanism.

[jira] Resolved: (VELOCITY-733) Not able to interpret .vm(velocity file)

Nathan Bubna resolved VELOCITY-733.
-----------------------------------

    Resolution: Invalid

Our JIRA instance is not a place to file bugs in your application.  Please report this to the user@... list, which is the appropriate forum for seeking help with using Velocity.

Also, having to download a docx to get the details of your problem is more work for anyone who'd help you.  Plain text is better, since Velocity is not a graphical library.  Just copy/paste exceptions and whatnot.   Seeing Weblogic screens is only meaningful to those who use it, which is probably not the majority of people on this list.   Focus on your *Velocity* problem.

To me, it looks like you are either missing your index.vm file or your "WebWorkVelocityServlet" is misconfigured.  But since you didn't include your velocity.properties, it's impossible to say what your actual problem is.  What resource loader are you using?  What path did you give it?  Is this an unexploded war deployment?   Does WebWork have documentation on this?

Don't answer these questions here.  Repeat and clarify your question on the user list, please.
