Daniel Zapata commented on IBEANS-129:
--------------------------------------

I just tried on my machine and it's working now.

Configuration:
* clean apache tomcat 6.0.20
* JDK: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_16-b01)
* Ubuntu 9.04 Linux dzapata-laptop 2.6.28-16-server #57-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 11 10:48:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Steps:
# unpack tomcat
# unpack ibeans beta-9 inside of tomcat
# run install script
# start tomcat
# Go to : http://localhost:8080/ibeans/
# Run all of the examples on that page

However, I don't remember if the trouble I had was using my ibean or using the stock ibeans.  It will take a while to verify the latter.

Not related to jdk version. I can get it to work with any version.
If I start in the tomcat/log directory and run ../bin/startup.sh it works. If I start in the tomcat directory and run bin/startup.sh, it fails!

does ibeans make an assumption about the directory you are in when you start being CATALINA_HOME/bin?

Seems ibeans is working even with these errors. It's the notifications example that has problems and doesnt' work with them.

To reproduce
Go to CATALINA_HOME/log
run ../bin/startup.sh
Should get NPEs in log
try the notifications example
More NPEs

------------------------------------------------------------

does ibeans make an assumption about the directory you are in when you start being CATALINA_HOME/bin?

Seems ibeans is working even with these errors. It's the notifications example that has problems and doesnt' work with them.

To reproduce
Go to CATALINA_HOME
run bin/startup.sh
Should get NPEs in log
try the notifications example
More NPEs

Dale Booth commented on IBEANS-129:
-----------------------------------

The issue that has been reported is also being seen on CentOS 5.3 when invoking the "tcat6" command.  "tcat6" invokes:
NOTE: This is using Tcat Server 6.2.0 and iBeans beta-9.

   /usr/localh/TcatServer/conf/Catalina/localhost/tcat-linux.sh

The mule-ibeans.log file contains the error:

ERROR (AbstractConfigurationBuilder.java:53)  - Configuration with "org.mule.module.guice.GuiceConfigurationBuilder" failed.
java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to read class URL for name: com/mulesoft/tcat/api/ChainedFileService
.......

The iBeans Console appears to work OK.
