[pydev - Users] Can't uninstall PyDev for Eclipse 1.4.8.2811Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7609980 By: erickherring [ I posted this at http://aptanastudio.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/96-cant-uninstall-pyde v-for-eclipse-1482811-or-pydev-extensions-1482811-using-plugins-manager but Joelle sent me here ] When I try to uninstall PyDev for Eclipse 1.4.8.2811 or PyDev Extensions 1.4.8.2811 using the Plugins Manager, I get the error "The operation cannot be completed. See the details". The details are: An unexpected error occurred. This wizard is no longer valid with the current selections." Immediately prior to attempting this uninstall, I upgraded to * Aptana Studio RCP 1.5.1.026124 (from 1.5.1.025914) * Aptana Studio Professional 1.5.1.26125 (from 1.5.1.25791) I'm trying to get rid of PyDev + Extensions 1.4.8 so that I can install the newly released (combined) version 1.5.0 of the plugin. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can give me. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. [pydev - Users] RE: Can't uninstall PyDev for Eclipse 1.4.8.2811Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7614908 By: fabioz Really weird... Eclipse does have some problems with the update manager sometimes. To give you more info on that, I need to know what's the eclipse version you're using and whether you installed as a zip or from the update site, and the contents of your error log when that happens (see http://pydev.org/faq.html#how_do_i_report_a_bug ) . Just as a note: An easy way out is just getting a clean eclipse, installing pydev and just pointing it to your existing workspace (which should be fast and easy if you don't have too many other plugins). Cheers, Fabio ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Thanks for the response. FWIW, it was the Aptana Studio install, which is Eclipse Platform: Version: 3.5.0.v20090611a-9gEeG1HFtQcmRThO4O3aR_fqSMvJR2sJ Build id: I20090611-1540 And Eclipse RCP: Version: 3.5.0.v20090519-9SA0FwxFv6x089WEf-TWh11 Build id: I20090611-1540 ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
