[pydev - Users] interact with the debugged program

Hello,

I need to interact with the debugged program while debugging, from a console
like ipython. This is particularly useful while working on big arrays, which
cannot be explored easily though the gui. I only need to explore variables,
to make computations on them, not to modify them.

This possible, but not very conveniently in winpdb. Is it possible with pydev?
It does not seem so from my first try, but the test was on an old (1.2.5-4)
open source version.

As I'm not experienced with eclipse, I thought about asking before investing
more time learning it.

I (well, a colleague) just found the "watch expressions" which fulfill my needs.
This is not exactly what I was looking for, but it will be fine.
