Hi,

we don't seem to be getting new regression results since about 3 days ago, have the regression machines gone down?

Thanks,
Ian

sigh.  the machines look fine.  this is a software problem, not h/w.

A quick look at a few of the machines (habenaro, jalapeno) shows that
they are or have very recently been running benchmarks, so I'm
guessing it is a cattrack related issue.

I did a ./stop.sh and ./start.sh, on cattrack@jikesrvm, which didn't
work, then killed mongrel and then ./start.sh again.  Perhaps that
will work.  I really don't know.  I'm just floundering around because
I don't really have a clue how it works.   Would be great if there
were a brief README in the cattrack home directory reminding us how to
give the thing a kick.

Ugh. Looks like disk space. I have freed a small amount of space up
but I need to find some more, and we will need to mess around a bit to
get missing regression runs copied over :(

Cheers,
Daniel.

Is it worth trying to archive some of the older regression runs in a separate database.  Cattrack performance has been quite poor for a while, and I'm wondering if it is mainly an issue of database size.

Sorry I didn't check for disk space.   Fairly obvious in retrospect.

Sounds like a good plan.

I purchased two huge disks the other day.   They're sitting on my desk, so we can plug them in, do the archiving and hopefully be in a better place.  I won't be able to get to it till tomorrow.

I think we may have the same problem again :-( No reports for over 24hours.

Ian

I don't see any interruption (my regression emails have come every few hours without any noticeable pause, the most recent was 15 minutes ago).  Sounds to me like a mail delivery issue of sorts.

Ugh, the large amount of spam on the regression list has caused my spam filter to move all regression e-mails to my spam folder :-(
