[scala-tools] Scala & Java joint compilation

Hi,

I was wandering what is current status of Scala & Java joint
compilation. There are some java parser related classes in Scalac, but
it does not seems to compile java code. Are there any plans on this
front?

I am working on commercial eclipse plugin. It looks like side effect
will be joint compiler of mixed Scala & Java code. Basically Scalac
and Eclipse Java Compiler glued together. This should be open source
(EPL licence). Also independent on Eclipse (will need jar with Eclipse
Java compiler).

I can use some help. Especially with testing.

Regards,
Jan
