[scala-tools] eclipse plugin - files not on the build path

Are there any plans to support opening .scala files in eclipse that aren't on the build path?

Obviously this would involve reduced functionality, with no hyperlinking and probably no completion whatsoever, but I hope that basic highlighting and indentation would be possible.

One such place where this would be a big help is in editing sbt project files.

Yes, it is planned. It'd be helpful if you'd create an enhancement
ticket for it in Trac so that it doesn't get forgotten.

Hopefully we'll have the same level of functionality as for Java
sources which aren't on the build path.
