You can fix it by setting LC_ALL.

Thanks. I had tried that, but I had an error in my startup script that was causing it not to effect Continuum. It's working now.
The comments in apps/continuum/webapp/WEB-INF/classes/META-INF/plexus/application.xml for LDAP configuration point to documentation at a broken URL: apps/continuum/webapp/WEB-INF/classes/META-INF/plexus/application.xml -Stephen

I want to try this version using the database from beta-2 but I can't migrate using the data tool.... I need a dependency. Where can i find it?

I tested the .tar.gz only with m2 and Subversion. LICENSE/NOTICE is in place, and the release functionality works again. When you put it under www.a.o/dist/maven, please rename the files using the finalName-- it should be apache-continuum-1.1-beta-3.* (not continuum-plexus-runtime...).
