[webERP -translation] Chinese and TurkishHi Zhiguo:
Please take a look at http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/exampleZhiguo.php (12453 bytes) it has Chinese and Turkish but it uses 2 fonts. Now I think we were wrong to look at Cmaps. I believe the quid is about Character Collections and later the fonts that have the glyphs to support them, since Cmap are only the function that permits to use several encodings, i.e., the relationship between the value we are using to refer to a certain char and the value that corresponds to the glyph that represents that char. I have been looking at The Adobe-GB1 Character Collection (Tech Note #5094 28 FEB 2007), http://www.adobe.com/devnet/font/pdfs/5094.CJK_CID.pdf The last number is the supplement, TCPDF uses supplement 2 Adobe-GB1-0 enumerates 7717 glyphs (0-7716), supports GB2312-80 & GB1988-89 ... Adobe-GB1-1 supplement 1 adds 2180 glyphs (7717-9896), adds support GB/T 12345-90 (traditional forms of characters already in Adobe-GB1-0) Adobe-GB1-2 supplement 2 adds 12230 glyphs (9897-22126) for complete GBK and all 20902 Chinese chars in Unicode Adobe-GB1-3 supplement 3 improve handling of vertical glyphs Adobe-GB1-4 supplement 4 adds 6711 glyphs (22353-29063) currency, more vertical and the major part (22428-29058) covers CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A Adobe-GB1-5 supplement 5 adds 1220 glyphs (29064-30283) to support Yi I don't see a supplement to support Turkish, but the biggest number of glyphs is 30283 in supplement 5 so it has space for the future (less than half filled). I have read that Characters Collections are made by Adobe, then Cmaps for it, then Fonts. The Next Character collection is CN, it talks about latin. Re: [webERP -translation] Chinese and TurkishHi Javier,
I'm considering how to create a new cmap file that contains the mapping (relationship)we needed or wait till the official switch to TCPDF. The disadvantage of the former is obvious that we have to copy this cmap file to every local client that's involved. Once I finish the works on hand, I will take a look at the tcpdf code and try to migrate it to weberp. Thanks & warmest regards, -Zhiguo
