These are the TCPDF pre-installed fonts not to be embedded:
(Except the four CJK Uni2CID)

All pdfs are about 24-26 KB.

Old XP with Acrobat 8 doesn't show me Turkish but bullets in all 8 cases.
(except lower I in a few cases. If font code is ANSI, this is expected)

In my old system, all pdfs have
Helvetica Type 1 ANSI -> subst System Arial True Type
Helvetica-Bold Type 1 ANSI -> subst System Arial-BoldMT True Type

CID Fonts Codification may be:
UniJS Japanese
UniKS Korean
UniCNS Chinese
UniGB Chinese Simplified

For reference, I'll keep previous 1 y 2.

3 courier ( -> CourierStd Type 1, bullets are "?")
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier3courier.php

4 helvetica (bullets are "?")
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier4helvetica.php

5 hysmyeongjostdmedium ( -> AdobeMyungjoStd-Medium, bullets are spaces but it shows the lower I)
(This needs Korean UniKS. From now on, since Japanese and Korean are
already installed, Acrobat will not ask anymore except for Chinese)
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier5hysmyeongjostdmedium.php

6 kozgopromedium, CID UniJS ( -> KozGoProVI-Medium CID, bullets are spaces)
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier6kozgopromedium.php

7 kozminproregular ( -> KozMinProVI-Regular, bullets are spaces, it shows lower I)
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier7kozminproregular.php

8 msungstdlight UniCNS. ( -> AdobeMingStd-Light bullets are spaces)
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier8msungstdlight.php

9 stsongstdlight UniGB. ( -> AdobeSongStd-Light bullets are spaces)
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier9stsongstdlight.php

10 Times Type 1 (TimesNewRomanPSMT True Type ANSI, bullets are "?")
http://146.red-88-2-131.staticip.rima-tde.net/weberp311utf/javier/javier10times.php

Conclusion, a map to an Unicode font must be created or a TCPDF font be made.

Sorry Zhiguo,

I don't understand,
"Can give a try to ..." (you or me?)
If it's me, you will have to explain me further.
What does Identity-H means? UTF16-H, UCS2-H, ...?
I have not seen any UniTR-XXXX-H and it shouldn't exist
for only 6 characters but I don't know why TR is almost ignored.
I will do the Vista test, step by step, before burying me deep in this.

Anyway, I think it doesn't matter because,
I've tested all installed fonts except embedded and the four I mentioned.
To use another font it must be made with TCPDF Makefont utility
or maybe there are already made and then we have to do some search.

I'm new to TCPDF so I don't know to use Makefont yet.
You could help to do the search and even to use Makefont, and also
I would like you to tell me your results since this test is client
dependant,
I guess your results are the same like mine but I can't know it.
