#xfce IRC channel ownershipHello,
Today, we had some problem with some spammers on #xfce and there was no op available. The guys from the Freenode staff came to the rescue. At the same time, they told us that the IRC account which was used to register the channel has expired. Consequently, the channel is now owned by the Freenode staff. It seems we can register as a group on http://freenode.net/group_registration.shtml and prevent the channel from being "abandonned". What do you think about this? If nobody has time to do that, I can take care of it. By the way, it would be great to have a few more ops on #xfce. Some regulars such as s0ulslack could do a great job. Re: #xfce IRC channel ownershipI'll do it if you want. I'm usually lurking about.

I tried to register us as a group a year or so ago, but my request seemed to fall into a black hole. I didn't bother to follow up. > By the way, it would be great to have a few more ops on #xfce. Fine by me, as long as they aren't abusive. -b _______________________________________________ Xfce4-dev mailing list Xfce4-dev@... http://foo-projects.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce4-dev |

If one of the core developpers wants to have this position and its rights, just ask me and I can transfer it. Meanwhile, I added s0ulslack, squisher and JPohlmann to the list of ops.
