1.0.7 Coming for the Mac OS X?I recently downloaded BitPim and have been unsuccessful in getting it to
recognize my phone (been to the support pages, read that, not requesting help for that). I'm wondering if a release of 1.0.7 might use later Samsung Shu-470 firmware. For the record, here's mine: BitPim 1.-.6.ppc - Test This release was built using phone firmware u470.AH23 Macintosh: Model Name: PowerBook G4 15" Model Identifier: PowerBook5,6 Processor Name: PowerPC G4 (1.2) Processor Speed: 1.5 GHz Number Of CPUs: 1 L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.5 GB Bus Speed: 167 MHz Boot ROM Version: 4.9.1f3 Mac OS 10.5.8 Samsung SHU-470 V.u470. D16 PRL V.51512 ERI V. 5 H/W V. U470.04 Any joy out there in a new release? Thanks Dwain ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Re: 1.0.7 Coming for the Mac OS X?Dwain,
I'm sorry to say that there is little for you in this regard. Historically, I have been in charge of the mac builds but development has crawled to a halt. This, coupled with a catastropic hard disk failure on my surviving PPC machine has relagated the PPC builds to an unfortunate end. It is still posible to build it on your platform, but it will take a couple of hours of your time.
