Some requests go to external source, outside of the intranet (reporting). So my IE Browser has a proxy server configured, and a bunch of addresses in the "Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with:". I'm using OpenSTA 1.4.4 My Problem. ---------------------- I can browse my Web Server inside the intranet fine, and the requests are sent and fulfilled by the external source fine, it's all lovely. However, when I try to record the script through the modeler I get an error from the proxy server. According to the settings in IE, the request shouldn't be going to the proxy server. I confirmed the settings in OpenSTA ("Options -> Gateway") so I know that OpenSTA has read the settings from IE correctly. Everything looks good to me, it looks like the request should go straight to the webserver and not the proxy server. When I recorded the script in 1.4.3. using all the same equipment it worked perfectly, so this problem seems related to v1.4.4. The interesting thing is that I can see that the 1.4.4 script starts with this: Start Timer T_MYTIMER CONNECT TO "proxy.example.domain.com:8080" ON 1 So the very first thing the script does it connect to the proxy server, even though my request should not be sent there. The 1.4.3 script only has this "CONNECT " command when it actually sent stuff to the external source. I've tried recoding using HTTP 1.0 and 1.1, the only thing I could think would make a difference, and neither of them work, they boh result in the CONNECT command at the top of the script and the error message from the proxy server. I looked at the release note on sourceforge and can't see anything related to this changing in 1.4.4. Does anyone know if this area of code changed in 1.4.4? Is this a known issue in 1.4.4? Does it sounds like an issue or a user problem (I can't think what I'm missing but happy to be told I did something stupid)?
