Good day,

If you'd like to test the next version of phpWebSite, please download it
from here:
http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/downloads/rc/phpwebsite_1_6_0_RC1.tar.gz

Remember, this is a release candidate. Do not use it on a live site.

Attached is a list of changes. Bug fixes are not listed here.

Be aware, phpWebSite is now PHP 5 ONLY. If your server is running PHP 4,
1.6.0 will not run. Also, be aware the mod_rewrite process changed.

If you experience any bugs, please email me.

I apologize in advance for being unable to implement many of the great
feature requests from Sourceforge. Unfortunately, I need to get a
version out so I can implement some projects on campus. I'll try and get
more of them fulfilled for 1.6.1.

The public release may include phpWSBB.

Best regards,
Matt

P.S. aDarkling - congratulations

Major Changes
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PHP 5 only
phpWebSite 1.6.0 will not run on anything less than PHP 5. Do not try
to update your site if you are still running PHP 4.

MOD_REWRITE
phpWebSite has a new mod_rewrite format. Make sure you get a new copy
of the .htaccess file in your root installation directory. The Core
update will try and copy it over. If it can't, you need to make sure
you do so yourself.

Change to your installation directory and copy it over:

cp core/inc/htaccess ./.htaccess

New Modules

Sitemap
Creates a sitemap XML for Google and other search engines to parse.

CheckIn
Created for our financial aid department to help with walk-ins, it is
now available to you.

Skeleton
Rewritten and useful.

All Core changes are listed in core/boost/changes/1_9_0.txt. Here are
the highlights:

permission and a special define is set

DBPager - built in CSV reporting
