1.6.1 logging issue

I posted this in the forum, but have not received a response:

I just upgraded from 1.5.8 to 1.6.1 and the logging seems to be broken. The only entries that are being logged are InvalidAdddress, delaying, Nameserver response time, and Blackberry noprocessing IPs.

I haven't changed any logging settings after upgrading.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

Anyone else seeing this or is there a new setting in 1.6.1 that I am missing?

Steve,

Yesterday, I did a similar upgrade on my home server and I'm not seeing
this issue.  I went from 1.5.1.8(0.0.08) to 1.6.1.1(0.0.01)

Where did you get 1.6.1.1(0.0.01)?  My version from SF is 1.6.1.0(1.0.00)

It's located on Fritz's website.  However, 1.6.1.1(0.0.01) is the same
as 1.6.1.0(1.0.00).  The only difference is the change of version
number.

Kind Regards,
Brett

I just went back to  1.5.1.8(1.0.00) and the logging issue is fixed.

Is there a setting that was added/changed somewhere in 1.6.1 that I am missing that would cause the logging to not work correctly?

I've been using the latest 1.6.1 since it's been out and I've not had
any problems with logging.  All is working as it should.  Running Perl
5.10 and Windows 2003 SP2 Server.

Kind Regards,
Brett

Sorry to hijack the thread.  I noticed you are using 5.10.  Is that per
chance considered the preferred perl environment now?

OK, the logging isn't broken on my install now that I look at it after running it for a while.  But, what I do see is a whole lot of [InvalidAddress] matches which I did not see when I was running 1.5.8.

I have (DoPenaltyMakeTraps) set to "make traps and use them", (PenaltyMakeTraps) is set to 5, and (PBTrapCacheExp) is set to 72.  For some reason, it seems that the (PBTrapCacheExp) is not being honored and the pbdb.trap.db is being cleaned out too often.

Thanks for any insight,
Steve

Check these, they are new in 1.6.1 .

Regular Expression to Identify NoLog-Mails* (noLogRe)
Put anything here to identify mails that you don't want to be logged.

Regular Expression to Suppress Log-Messages* (noLogLineRe)
Put anything here to identify log messages that you want to be
suppressed. For example: max errors|collect|Illegal Content
