Another quick question,

I saw some discussions going on about the new software 1.62, but didn’t really read what was going on.

Until I started having those daily crashes. I have an expanded G2, so I don’t think any crashes relate to the G2 itself.

What actually happens is I use the software on OSX, and it seems the software is having troubles to work. Most graphics is not showing up smoothly (I mean all the animations like sequencers, volumes etc) and kind of jumping as if I have low frame rate or as if the software was “heavy” for the computer, which I don’t believe it to be the case.

This normally happens with heavy loaded patches, mostly with many moving stuff like midi send controls and such.

The other problem is trying to save performance. I must first press “stop” if it is playing, and many times when I try to save it seems the G2 gets stuck.

I don’t know if it only happens when trying to re-write on a used location, or when empty slot…

Workaround for me is to turn the G2 off and on again, and then the software automatically loads the performance again and I try to save it again.

I tried saving both from the G2’s save button and from the software’s “save in synth”option. Doesn’t seem to make a difference, crashes still happen.

Luckly the patch/performance stays on the software, otherwise I would loose it all.

I will give a try on a pc when I get the time and see if the software reacts any better.

it might be a hardware problem..

I also encounter a very annoying problem, that some of my patches which are
saved on the G2 itself become corrupted!
I have no idea how, but I think is related to trying to save (and having the
G2 crash).

I did start saving new patches to empty slots, that does seem to solve the
crash problem.

The patches which became corrupt are not even on locations where I tried to
save! I believe they randomly crashed when the G2 crashed with the above
mentioned saving problem.

Luckly, these were just factory presets which I can download again.
