1st Class Requirements checked off--but why?

I recently discovered that each and every First Class rank requirement for two of our 30 scouts, both of them currently Tenderfoot with some 2nd Class requirements done, had been marked as completed on 5-11-09. I deleted the entries, and they did not reappear.  These are the only two that I have (so far) discovered with this glitch, but I am concerned that it happened, and wonder why?  We've had no other problems with TM.  Can anyone suggest an explanation?

Some are auto filled by TM.  Remember all can be worked on at the same time.

When you say 'Every', does that include SMC and  BOR requirements?  In any case, there are only two possibilities I can think of.  One is that the Group Entry option was used on other Scout(s), and these two individuals were included (unlikely), or someone got access to the data and set the requirements done, either maliciously or accidentally.  I've never heard of this happening through a glitch in TM.

If I recall, SMC and BOR were filled in, along with the rest.  Only two of us make entries on a new password-protected computer in the scout room. I can't envision it being malicious, and we wouldn't have done a group entry that would have included all of the requirements, so will assume it was some kind of weird human-caused error.

Human intervention is the likely culprit - who accessed the system on 5/11/09?? (or there abouts) One advantage of the dotnet function - you have a log of who accessed the datebase and when - gives you a nice trail to follow. Look around in the system - I thought there was a log-in record on all the versions. If you can trace the login you should be able to determine the 'security breech'.

Can you think back to 5/11 and remember what occurred?  Being as this was a Monday night, was this also a Troop Meeting night?  Were at least one of the two who have the password in the presence of the PC at all times that night?  If not, was the keyboard locked down, or was it left running where a curious individual might have taken a look at it and inadvertently made the changes?

Troopmaster auto fills in a few and they are participation and service project for 1st and 2nd class requirements.

My best guess is someone used the group credit and selected both scouts in error.  The red flag is the same date of 5-11-09 on both scouts ranks. The other possibility is your passwords are compromised or the data base was left unattended while it was opened.

It might not have happened on 5/11/09 - you can enter any date when
marking off requirements.

If you had a scout that might have been archived or has been removed,
some times the indexes don't unnecessarily purge like they should.  It
depends on the file system, or how your computer feels that day.
Sometimes a rain drops do fall in the same place twice, and lightening
does strike twice - so it is not uncommon that things act up.
