I have read many messages posted here about configuring the kernel but yet I have two open questions.
1- I have realized that "gumstix-kernel.bb" is for building the kernel .bin file, "task-based-gumstix.bb" is for making a package containing the kernel modules, and "gumstix-basic-image.bb" is for building an image of the file system of gumstix, containing the kernel modules(/bin/kernel) but not uImage of the kernel. Is my realization correct? If so, what is the essence of MACHINE_FEATURES in "gumstix-custom-verdex.conf"? Doesn't we have checked the modules we want in the kernel config file (defconfig)?
2- I want to change my kernel, keep the other files on the gumstix unchanged. How can I do that?
