Although the last couple (few?) years have not had any registration fees (because they were not officially sponsored by Triumph), I was wrong to assume that the 2010 Dragon Raid would be the same. From the Dayton RAT Pack leader (Rick Sine) and organizer of this event:

"2010 will have a pre-registration fee. That will make things MUCH easier. When you check in at Iron Horse, you will receive a bag of goodies along with your preselected sized T shirt at the office. It will also enable for a choice of colors for your T. Not sure of the fee as of yet. It will be as minimal as possible."

I'm confident the pre-registration fee will be nowhere near the $50 that Triumph uses to charge for all of their sponsored events though. This is such a great event, I plan to attend regardless. Participants are still responsible for their own lodging (camping, cabins, bunkhouse, etc) and meals.

For those that do NOT want to officially participate in the Dragon Raid, but STILL want the opportunity to meet up with fellow Trophy riders that are in that area at the same time, there ARE several other campgrounds and lodging options in the area. Even with that said, the entire Iron Horse facility is not reserved exclusively for this event.

September 2010 is still a LONG WAY AWAY, but I say you can never start planning a trip too soon! ;)
