4.6 panic after upgrade

hi there,

first of all, unfortunately i cannot make this into a full bug report
at the moment as this is a remote machine with a push-the-reset-button-guy
on the other side of the line.

the machine disappeared from under my tmux session and before the
machine was reset i was told some "kernel panic" in blue was visible
on the brought in monitor.

it is 2 days after upgrading to 4.6 from 4.5 on this production machine.
it is a vanilla 4.6 with all the erratas applied and its (few) packages
upgraded.  this machine was rock solid with 4.5, so i am at a loss
as to what might have caused this.

i have changed ddb.panic so it doesnt drop into ddb.  if i read
crash(8) correctly this will make a nice crash dump next time
this happens (if it happens) into /var/crash and i might be able
to provide more details.

at the moment, all i can offer is what dmesg.boot (and partially
