Announces 4D 2004.8
4D is pleased to announce the release of 4D 2004.8 is now
available. Featuring almost 60 bug fixes, this maintenance release will
be the last for the 4D 2004 product line.
Final 4D 2004 Release
As future development now shifts to 4D v11 SQL, this will be the final
release of the 4D 2004 product line and it will transition to the
"Sunset" phase of its lifecycle. This means that there will be no
additional development, bug fixes or any certification/adaptation for
future operating systems.
Current 4D
customers can download 4D 2004.8 as a free download.
A detailed bug fix list and updated documentation
are also available.
4D 2004 Sunset Options
As 4D 2004 moves into Sunset, this is the time to consider an upgrade.
We strongly urge you to move from 4D 2004 to the 4D v11 SQL product
line. 4D v11 SQL has proven to be a powerful and robust solution (check
out our latest success
stories) that will allow you take advantage of new operating
systems such as Windows 7 and MAC OS X Snow Leopard. Upgrading now also
ensures that your data will continue to run on the fastest and most

If short-term restrictions require you to maintain 4D 2004, we suggest
that you purchase additional 4D 2004 licenses now to take advantage of
the current price. We will be increasing the price of 4D 2004 in the
near future.
