1. 4D Summit 2009 Weekly Digest Important Dates are Coming Ever So Fast! Just a reminder that early-bird registration prices and reduced hotel rates will end soon. Live 4D v11 SQL demonstrations, the in-depth sessions led by 4D Staff and presenters, and the numerous opportunities to network and chat with fellow 4D developers are some of the compelling reasons why attending the Summit is so important. 2. 4D Knowledgebase Updates 4D Partners: Create your own Tech Tips and make it YOUR Knowledgebase Did you know there is the new functionality that lets 4D Partners virtually build their own 4D Knowledgebase? It's a great way to show off 4D tips and tricks or even promote a new 4D related product. Now 4D Partners can add their own Tech Tips, ranging from technical topics on 4D development, to products or plug-ins relating to 4D. Once created, the entire 4D community will be able to view these Tech Tips and other 4D Partners can comment and post responses. Become a 4D Partner and build your knowledgebase today. 3. Tech Note Central This week's topic: Quick Report Wizard - Part 1 Reports represent one of the most important functions in data management. A Quick Report is the ideal way to offer your users the possibility of creating their own reports to extend the custom reporting capabilities of your application. This Technical Note revisits creating a custom interface for Quick Reports using 4D v11 SQL commands. Part I of this Technical Note focuses on the interface and functionality of the Quick Report Wizard. Part II will focus on the implementation and programming of the sample database.
