4D and TAPI

I am looking into integration of 4D 2007 and Cisco Call Manager or  
TAPI. Can this be done through the language or would I need a plug-in.  
This would be with Mac OS X clients.

TAPI is Windows-only and, while it still functions, is getting pretty long
in the tooth.

This isssue did arise a few months back. Search GMANE for postings by Justin
Leavens and you'll get some hits about an open source product for telephony.
