Hello to all and thanks for taking the time to post to the forum. As the owner of 4 Yamaha motorcycles I just could not resist buying the 6700 when I saw the Ebay  auction. I am pleased to discover that the tractor exhibits the same great quality that has kept me using their motorcycles for 30 years.
My 6700 works well but it is missing a few parts that I will need for restoration. I need the parts that attach the hood to the tractor frame, there is nothing there, no brackets, no pivots, no anything. I would love to buy a copy of the manual, but not for $100. I also need the plastic part that trims out the shift lever. Aynone know of a cheaper air filter, $60. seems just a little high. Thank, Bill Grote New Lenox, Il.

Bill,
Congrats on your purchase. There aren't many 6700 around, or at least on this Forum. Unfortunately,
there is only one place to get manuals, which you can find on the post "Fast Moving Parts". There are a couple other parts suppliers listed in "Parts Drawings", but there are only three online suppliers in N America, unless you have a good local Yamaha shop. I don't know of any other air filters that work for these tractors, so you're kind've stuck there. The shifter guide piece is a pretty common replacement part, as they seem to break often. The only problem with these mowers is the parts supply, as they were only made for three years...
