72 points per inch not accurate in my experienceI am experiencing measurement issues with iText. Everything I read
shows that iText works on 72 points per inch, but when I print a document nothing lines up the way I want. After some experimenting, it seems like I actually get 76.2 points per inch (which is 3 points per millimeter) Is this a common issue? Because page sizes are calculated based on the 72 points per inch assumption, I am having no luck getting elements lined up the way I want. -G ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. Re: 72 points per inch not accurate in my experienceSee if in the print dialog you are not scalling the page. Many printers also cannot print accurate dimension and when it comes to borders it gets even worse.

If so: are you sure you've disabled automatic scaling to adapt the PDF to your printer? In your print Dialog you have a property "Page Scaling". Sounds like you've set it to "Shrink to printable area" instead of "None". -- This answer is provided by 1T3XT BVBA http://www.1t3xt.com/ - http://www.1t3xt.info ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. Re: 72 points per inch not accurate in my experience"72 points per inch" is part of the definition of PDF, iText merely adopted it.
