93 Virago wont start

Hello,
I have a 93 virago that was sitting in a garage for about 2 years.  I changed the battery and put 93 octane but it will not start.  I check the fuel filter under the seat and it is not getting any gas.  When i turn the switch to 'run' i can hear the fuel pump...  Any suggestions???

Plugged fuel line, bad petcock, rust in tank. Clean all the old gas out of the tank and check to make sure the passages are clear. If you turn the petcock to Prime, it should allow fuel through if nothing is plugged.
