One guy experienced crashes in xmlcatalog.exe (from msys-libxml2).
Here's the backtrace he gave me (backtrace.log, attached).
After re-compiling libxml with debug info the crash was revealed to
happen at xmlIO.c:2525 with cptr being NULL.
Re-compiling msys-libxml without zlib support worked around this.
Make of this what you will.
