A few Questions

I've got a few questions and I hope a few of you has the answers.

1) First of all, what would happen if creature 1 used Viper Lash to kill creature 2 (who has 10 energy) but in response creature 2 adds Canon of Casualty to the Burst and creature 1 does nothing else. What happens?

2) Secondly, in the demo manual it says that at the end of turn step all creatures that were damaged have full life again. Is this accurate because in the show damage stays on the creature until the entire game is done. It'd be much more fair if damage stayed in my opinion, otherwise creatures like Maxxor would barely ever go down because they has so much energy. So, does damage stay or not?

When the creature who win the battle then that creature have all his life back and if the creature 2 use Cannon then it deal damge to your opponent and you use life too because of the viper lash.

Are you guys sure about the life going back to max after each battle, it seems very unfair, and like I said, the show isn't like that. Also, for the other question, your answer was very unclear, could someone else answer please?

1) Since the effects of the cards on top of the burst resolve first, the Canon of Casualty would do damage to Creature 1 before Viper Lash defeats Creature 2. However, I don't know for certain how to handle it from there. Either both creatures are defeated or only Creature 1 is defeated. My guess would be the second one, because Creature 1 gets coded before their attack hits, so the battle ends before damage can be dealt (plus, battles in the show tend to go to whomever died last when both creatures are defeated in the same attack. However, I don't always take the show's word for it on certain rulings for reasons I'll discuss below).

2) The show's rules and the actual game's rules tend to differ in areas, and this is one of them. For instance, the game's rules say you can't have more than two of any card in your deck. But, in the episode "Everything is in Flux," Klay loads up his Location Deck with 10 Lava Ponds (and Codemaster Crellen doesn't appear to object). So, yes, if the Creature isn't destroyed in battle, its Energy is restored to maximum.

Actually if you watched the episode where Kaz was trying to help Blugon you'd know why I said that their life stays.

The energy returns to full after a battle, even on the show. Characters would never be able to go on thoes winning streaks seen on the show if they didn't because their creature would not be at full health and would be easy pickings at the start of the next match.

Isn't that unfair? I just played a match with the demo deck and Magmon was impossible to kill, if it weren't for his life staying the same way each round. Also how would someone kill a creature like Maxxor or Chaor if they don't have someone with a high amount of energy. If the life does stay, that would take a huge amount of strategy out of the game, it'd really be too bad.

Yes, life does go back to max, and it works like that in the show, too.
As for the burst, the Creture that used Canon of Casualty would win, because the burst goes from top-to-bottom, so the creautre using Viper Lash would lose, assuming the Canon destroyed it, of course.

Having creatures that have high stats would be the key I would guess. Increase yours and decrease theirs which would make some of their own attacks weaker or useless giving you the upper hand.

Even so, abilities like those only come from Mugic and Battlegear and you're very limited when it comes to those. Also, only some attacks lower the stats of others, but they're generally weaker then most attacks. I guess what I'm trying is that I'd prefer it if damage stays since it adds a lot more strategy into the game. Oh well, we'll see what it is when the game comes out, they could've rewritten some of the rules since the demo deck was released, who knows.

Mugic, Battlegear, Attacks, Locations and Creature special abilities can all change creature stats. If you are losing stat checks and challenges, it's not gonna really matter too much how much energy your creature has if your attacks are dealing little or no damage.
