A question regarding overhead for CBR over UDP

While simulating CBR over UDP at the trace file I get the message size  to be the same as the size of the cbr packet.The overhead due to UDP and IP( 28 bytes) is not reflected in the trace file but while using TCP the overhead is shown.Why is this so?I appreciate your reply.
