AMD Geode on TS 2.2.2Hi guys,
I'm trying to put all my thinclient to run ThinStation (using boot PXE) but I'm having a lot of problems. The main problem is that I have 19 inch widescreen LCD monitors but I can't use the correct resolution (1860x1050) because Thinstation don't recognize my video chipset. My thinclient use AMD Geode chipset. How can I make to put this driver (AMD Geode) on ThinStation 2.2.2? I have a linux box to compile everything that be necessary. I don't have a great experience on Linux but I want to try because I need this Thanks Ronaldo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Thinstation 2.2.2 uses XOrg6.9 and there was no geode driver for that release (or the earlier amd one). But the earlier amd might compile under 6.9.... Re: AMD Geode on TS 2.2.2Thanks for answer Trevor...
But can I put new XOrg version on TS 2.2.2? Or then how can I use widescreen resolution using Vesa Default Driver? When we will have a new version of TS with updated drivers? The thinstation project is the best thing that happen for thinclients... Thanks again Ronaldo 2009/10/29 TrevorB <trevorbatley@...>: > On Thu, 2009-10-29 at 09:03 -0200, Ronaldo Fonseca Junior wrote: >> Hi guys, >> >> I'm trying to put all my thinclient to run ThinStation (using boot >> PXE) but I'm having a lot of problems. >> The main problem is that I have 19 inch widescreen LCD monitors but I >> can't use the correct resolution (1860x1050) because Thinstation don't >> recognize my video chipset. >> My thinclient use AMD Geode chipset. >> >> How can I make to put this driver (AMD Geode) on ThinStation 2.2.2? > > Thinstation 2.2.2 uses XOrg6.9 and there was no geode driver for that > release (or the earlier amd one).
