Nice to see you're still commiting to this project. What applications does it work with so far? Do we need a special package for indicator messages support for pidgin/evolution, or did you include these in the sources (i believe it's in indicator-messages in ubuntu)?

Not sure which applications support it right away, in foresight and
ubuntu (the new release will work in karmic)
gwibber, pidgin (the libnotify-plugin), empathy and evolution should work.
You need indicator-messages and python-indicate (for gwibber)
For someone with some C knowledge it should be easy to create patches
for claws too.
