Hi guys,

I'm new witht his technology, and I'd like to identify a good model of SC reader that I could use for securing some Linux workstations; I'd like to use the Smart Cards in the login process at the workstations, and I'm looking for an unexpensive one that is compatible with the OpenSC software.
After some searches on the web, I've found a model at a good price: ASEDrive IIIe USB V2 Smart Card Reader. From the website, it seems that a Linux driver is available, but I'd like to be sure that it will be possible to use it with OpenSC: could you confirm this?
If it isn't good.. could you suggest me a good product with the same requirements?

About the smart cards, what have I to look for to ensure the compatibility with this reader, or generally, with a particular reader? Is the T=0 / T=1 protocol making the difference?

Thanks for your help and regards,

Livio
