The Role:
This is a great opportunity for a skilled ATG Java Developer to join arguably the best media companies in West London. Joining a specialist team, you'll be responsible for the ongoing development and support of complex core business applications, and play a part in a major technology refresh.

In approximately the first 6 months you'll provide application support, bug fixing and ingratiate yourself into the business. Longer term there are major developments planned such as a technology refresh and application enhancements. This is a growing team with opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities:

    * Complete life cycle development including prototype, component and interface development
    * Application support resolving software defects
    * Early involvement implementing a new technology stack. Playing with technology, R&D developments such as Spring Hibernate/EJB/JBoss etc.

The Person:
Essential:

    * ATG Development framework experience
    * Skilled in Java (J2EE) Web application development
    * Complete understanding of OO design and development
    * Good understanding of relational database concepts and SQL
    * Self starter, able to organise your working week and prioritise
    * Good interpersonal skills
    * An understanding of XML, JSP and HTML

Ideal:

    * Developed systems interfaces using business integration software such as Webmethods
    * IBM WebSphere
    * Agile/RAD development methodologies
    * UML understanding ideally through Case Tools such Select Enterprise/Rational Rose

The position is paying £45-50K + 25 days annual holiday rising to 27, Healthcare, Pension, Training and Career Development.
