AV Adapter for iPhone only shows videos
I bought an AV adapter for my iPod in the hopes it would output the display on the iPod desktop including games/apps, but it only plays the sounds from apps. It does show videos (working as designed) but I want to see apps on the tv screen with it.
Is there a way to do this? Anyone know of an app that works this out? Andy H. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... For additional commands, e-mail: pigmi-help@... |

Re: AV Adapter for iPhone only shows videosI couldn't find the article you were talking about Brendan
I just want to record the output for marketing, not sell the tech with the app. Andy H. > Why isn't there a supported way to do it? > >> There is an unsupported way to do it >> >> Erica Sadun posted something on ars >> >> On 23/09/2009, at 11:53 AM, andyhawkins@... wrote: >> >>> I bought an AV adapter for my iPod in the hopes it would output the >>> display on the iPod desktop including games/apps, but it only plays >>> the sounds from apps. Re: AV Adapter for iPhone only shows videosThanks Brendan, and after reading it I have this to say to Apple....
Gahhh!! I think I'm living on planet Stupider. There is no way to output video and interact with the touch pad - so a clone video app is what I want... what is wrong with this world???? I would pay $25 for that app if someone can write it. > http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2008/11/iphone-2-2-sdk-offers-undocumented-tv-out-features.ars > > > On 24/09/2009, at 9:43 AM, Andy H wrote: > >> I couldn't find the article you were talking about Brendan >> >> I just want to record the output for marketing, not sell the tech >> with the app. >> > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... > For additional commands, e-mail: pigmi-help@... > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... Re: AV Adapter for iPhone only shows videosOkay here's what I want to do. I'm going to stand on a stage with my iPhone plugged into a AV transmitter and walk around using my app, while everyone in the audience can see what I am doing on the big screen projected behind me. I plan to walk down into the audience and let people play with it as well, live. I don't believe with the current technology that's gonna to be possible is it? > Thanks Brendan, and after reading it I have this to say to Apple.... > > Gahhh!! Re: AV Adapter for iPhone only shows videosNot sure if this may help... The guys from from Digishow had a handheld VGA projector at GO3 - one demo was beaming out video from an iPhone. You need the Apple connector kit for it to work... "The Apple Connector kit allows you to connect your Digishow projector with either the Apple iPhone or iPod. Simply connect to your device and project both image and video." http://www.digishow.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=29 (Apple connector) ..they had sold out of connectors, so I haven't tried it with my iPhone. The same connector might let you work with other gear though. FYI, the projector comes with an RCA (female) to 2.5mm video cable, 2.5mm to 3.5mm video cable and 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter. It takes the 2.5mm, which is what the Apple Connector looks to have. They said Strathfield would be the local distributors, but nothing on their website yet.
