Access to social network sites
Hello Don - I have started the PRDe (PR and Documentation) group at Santa Fe Complex. Part of our mission is to monitor the social networking sites that are related to SFx, update them, and create cohesion in how these things are handled.
It is my understanding that you are the key holder to the user names and passwords for some of these sites. I have joined the Santa Fe Complex group on Flickr and would like to be setup as an admin. I also heard you maybe admin the Twitter account.
Do you know who is admin of the Youtube sfcomplex account and if there are any other online identities we should know about? I appreciate your help in this matter. We look forward to helping promote, archive, and get grants for SFx.

There are a number of events on the calendar that are not on the website, which is looking pretty anemic these days. If you are on the receiving end of this email and would like information about your event -- or an event not coming from the discuss list membership -- to be included on the web page and our newsletter, please send me some info on it. That could include a press release or a simple 200 word-ish write-up that describes the event and any speakers in it, links to source web pages and, please, a photo or link to photos or illustrations to accompany the text.
Thanks,

Re: Access to social network sites
Ethan,
I don't know anything about Flickr; didn't even know there was a sfx group there. The highly-dormant Twitter site is sfcomplex/624aguafria. I wouldn't call myself the keeper of its flame and would encourage/have encouraged anyone to post to it. LIkewise, YouTube, which is showing activity, probably from Dr. WooHoo.
Best of luck in this effort. As my Oct 28 note implies, the challenge you'll face is not management of these tools. It's creating a culture among the Complexers that understands and supports your effort.

Re: Access to social network sites
Hi Don - Can you please direct the 8 fans of that facebook page to the group page (which has 400 members) http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=116375926094&ref=ts
then delete the fan page. When searching for the Complex this is the first thing that pops up and it would be better to use the one that has more participants. If you have any questions, please let me know. Regards,
