Active4D running in a VM

Has anyone deployed Active4D running under 4D Client where 4D (or 4D
Client) is running under a Windows OS virtual machine?

I'm specifically thinking of a situation where the host OS, Apache Web
Server and the Windows VM would be running on Linux. Requests would hit
Apache which would proxy them to 4D running on the VM.

I haven't done this but had considered trying something similar to get
a 4D,A4D instance on Amazon's EC2.  For testing purposes to see if it
could be done.  Windows and the 4D server are a lot of overhead for an
EC2 instance, but I wanted to see what the response would be like.

I'm interested in any results or hiccups that you come across.  It
sounds like an interesting project.

I'm not sure when/if I'll get the chance to test this, but thanks for
reminding me about EC2 as a possible testbed. There is a possibility
that some of the web apps we host here may need to move to our research
program sponsor's facility. Their server rooms are filled with Solaris
and Linux machines. No Windows, No Macs. Since I asked I've learned that
the host would more likely be Solaris, with the VM running under Sun's
VirtualBox.
