Adding ds to an existing rrdfile

Hi,

I'm working on my project and need rrdfile that could, by instance, be created with two ds and be updated to containe 3 ds.
Is it possible or do i have to create a file for each ds ?

add_ds.pl, which I believe is included in the distribution, can be  
used to add a ds to an existing rrd.
