ExtensionMap.iniHello,
We have to serve some static files, that are only windows-specific: .ocx .lpk .cab Some of them, on windows, are executables, but when they are serving for Active4D on OS X, they show their contents ... We have changes the ExtensionMap.ini with some values, but none of them are working ... Any idea ? thanks, raimon ps. Active4D for v11Hello,
Maybe I'm missing something but any news for a v11 Active4D version ? In the aparajita's web I can read: "Our hope is to have a v11 version in Q4 2008." we are hung without that ... regards, raimon _______________________________________________ Active4D-dev mailing list Active4D-dev@... http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/ |

I hoped to get started earlier, but I am a month behind since a client project took 3 weeks more to finish than I expected. Don't worry, I am feeling the pressure from all sides... Re: v11 progress reportHi Aparajita,
same here, I am about to deliver the V11 SQL Version of the clients appication (another 2-3 weeks at most) and I do need to make a cmmitment on how the website will be run n the near future. In worst case I will have to write a data transfer mechanism myself, as i am currently working with 4D Backup mirroring. I just need to kno what I must do and what i need to squeeze out of the client... TIA Alex > Sorry for asking again, but ... > > ...it is really urgent for our business plans to get the most > accurated launch date you have for v.11 Active 4D, even a MC o > Beta ... > > > thanks, > > > raimon > > _______________________________________________ > Active4D-dev mailing list > Active4D-dev@... > http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev > Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/ _______________________________________________ Active4D-dev mailing list Active4D-dev@... http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/ |

Upgraded to v5, root folder and constantsHello,
I've spent three hours trying to figure it out why my root folder wasn't recognize. It's very simple: web DEFAULT ------- root = <default> */ root = web /* Some times Active4D was getting documents from the paren folder of web. Also, starting Active4D with no library and config files, doesn't put an alert on console, as it did with the first beta. And the configuration was the most simple: In the same folder: - 4D Standalone - web_decoy - web - Active4D - myDatabase.4db - ... Now works as expected ... But I'm still have a problem with constants, Active4D doesn't recognize them, no matter if they are just one word. This is a known problem ? For the other, it seems that all is working well ... :-) thanks again, regards, raimon fernandez ps. this is on OS X 10.5.8 and 4D v11.4HotFix6 _______________________________________________ Active4D-dev mailing list Active4D-dev@... http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/ |

Re: Upgraded to v5, root folder and constantsHello,
Please report any problems with Active4D in the issuetracker. Be sure to include your platform, OS version and 4D version in the report. Re: Upgraded to v5, root folder and constants> I've spent three hours trying to figure it out why my root folder
> wasn't recognize. I recommend that everyone turn debug logging on. Create a file called "log_debug_level" in the <structure>/Logs/Active4D folder. The file should contain the text "debug". Once you do this, extensive info is logged, for example what values are read from the configuration files. > Also, starting Active4D with no library and config files, doesn't > put an alert on console, as it did with the first beta. If there are no config files found, some simple defaults are used. I'm not sure why the first beta complained about missing libs or config files, but it shouldn't have. If it is custom named constants, unfortunately Active4D v5 can no longer access them, you will have to define them another way. This is a limitation by 4D v11 or can be it done in Active4D in a future release ? We have hundreds of user constants in our 4D app and in our web pages, if they can't be accessed, we'll try to find a new solution but ... thanks, regards. raimon _______________________________________________ Active4D-dev mailing list Active4D-dev@... http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/ |

User constants are kept in 4DK# resources. 4D has made it clear that resources will not be supported > We have hundreds of user constants in our 4D app and in our web > pages, if they can't be accessed, we'll try to find a new solution > but ... I have written a 4D method that will convert user constants to an Active4D library. Then all you have to is import the library once (perhaps in the On Application Start method), and your existing custom constant references should work as is. When it is posted on the site I'll let everyone know.
